1998 | Kath and Dave create Great Gable Chemical Services Ltd offering distribution and repackaging services to the chemical industry. |
2001 | Great Gable is sold and Kath and Dave are employed by the acquiring company. |
2003 | Kath and Dave create Scafell Organics Ltd to explore a new vision, based around the manufacturing of fine organics and provision of associated distribution services. |
2003-2009 | Manufacturing is the main focus and Scafell grows steadily based on reputation and personal recommendations. |
2009 | Company moves to a newly-built facility close to Kinoulton, South Nottinghamshire. |
2010 | New business is secured and additional staff are taken on. Contracts are for chemical distribution, storage and repackaging services and a new opportunity opens up for the bottling and packing of nutritional supplements. |
2012 | Scafell exhibits at Chemspec Europe for the first time. |
2013 | ISO9001:2008 is achieved and brings new customers. |
New business emerges through a partnership to develop high-performance polymers for the aerospace industry. | |
2014 | Scafell offers small scale laboratory clearance and chemical spillage clean up services. |
New staff employed to support new contracts in our distribution service business. | |
2015 | A period of restructuring and reflection for Scafell. Company structure is formalised with the appointment of a new Director, which takes the board to four members. Internal promotions support a new focus and the company appoints an externally-focused new Business Development Manager for the first time. A decision is also taken to expand into larger facilities to extend capabilities for existing and new customers. |
2016 | Redesign of company website and branding. |
